NESSEBAR – BULGARIA

The ancient town of Nessebar rich in history and architecture dates back thousands of years. It is situated on a peninsula, 850 meters long by 300 meters wide and is connected to the mainland with a narrow road. The Thracians, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans & Greeks have come and gone over the millennia. Remnants of Roman and Medieval walls, Byzantine and Bulgarian churches and the characteristic houses from the 19th century abound.
